Hello

So I have put together this config:

GB H97N-Wifi
i3-4350T
HD4600
2x4GB RAM

I have created my Install media with Unibeast, followed this guide: https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/...ierra-on-any-supported-intel-based-pc.235474/
Started the install and preparation following this guide: https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/...a-h97n-wifi-i5-4690-hd4600-gtx-750-ti.136386/

Unfortunately Stork's guide is with discrete graphics and I don't own one, so I'm using the IGFx, but after I execute the Install, for a short period of time I see the Apple logo, then the Installation progress bar for about half way and then it changes to a outlined circle in place of the Apple logo.

I have also found this guide: https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/...tel-hd4600-using-clover-uefi-hotpatch.203276/
But this is for Sierra, but the problem is that I can not seem to be able to follow the guide, it is complicated for me.

Is anyone able to help me out?

  • Try booting your USB installer in verbose mode and upload images of problem screen.
  • To know your current boot options , take photos to upload of
    • your Clover Boot Manager Screen with icons
    • and then press Space bar to get Boot options screen and take an image to upload
    • Make sure you have [√] Verbose Boot (-v) in the choices there before booting .
    • Take pictures of problem screen to upload.

"Still waiting for root device".
When booting from USB means that there is a problem finding a valid System folder to start up from on your USB flash drive.
This is usually because the flash drive is in a USB3 port.
If this is the case move it to a USB2 port, if it is already in a USB2 port move it to another and try again.
Repeat until you have tried all USB ports.
Use a USB2 flash drive.
If it still doesn't work you could try another flash drive.
Try connecting your USB flash drive using a USB2 hub.
You might also try enabling Legacy on your USB3 ports in your BIOS settings.
Set XHCI Handoff to Enabled in your BIOS settings.
Ensure that Fast Boot is not enabled in your BIOS settings.
May require USBInjectAll.kext in /EFI/CLOVER/kexts/Other/.
May need PMHeart’s patch to remove XHCI USB Port Limit in config.plist.
macOS High Sierra 10.13.6 requires a new USB Port Limit patch.

The problem may also occur when your USB controllers are unsupported, if this is the case you should add the appropriate kext to /EFI/CLOVER/kexts/Other/ or try GenericUSBXHCI.kext.

  • Excellent information as images to find the immediate cause of the problem for current boot error.
    • Choice of BIOS Graphics options for Intel HD correct
    • CBM screen shows the USB Installer as the only boot device indicating proper BIOS Boot Option Priorities
    • CBM>Options>Boot Args: OK
  • Please follow P1LGRIM's assessment and recommendations for current boot failure from USB port related issues affecting file transfer from USB Installer disk
