Hi!

I've got a problem running SL on my new machine:
Mobo:
- Gigabyte H67MA-D2H (F4)
- Intel i3 2100T
- Nvidia 7600GT

What I've done so far:
- Installed SL via iBoot legacy (Chimera didn't work for me)
- updated to 10.6.7 via Combo-Update
- installed BridgeHelper
- installed MultiBeast, checking EasyBeast + user DSDT from the database

=> everything works fine as long as I start the machine via iBoot legacy
=> when trying to start from HD, bootloader comes up normally but SL will not boot: just a flicker of the screen and the machine reboots.

Has anybody got an idea why I can only boot via iBoot?

Cheers!

Hi!
After a lot trial and a lot error I found out that Hyperthreading has to be disabled.
Snow Leo boots perfectly, sound and network are working.
Only thing doesn't working is sleep - and of course Hyperthreading.
I added a photo of the screen immediately before system restarts when Hyperthreading is enabled.
Has anybody else similar problems or any ideas howto enable Hyperthraeding?
Additional info: Hyperthreading WORKS when booting with iBoot legacy

cheers

Hi!
Thanks for the tip, but it won't work for me...
I tried a lot but I always got KP's.
I think Hyperthreading is not that important at the moment, better support for SB seems to be near. Until that two processors will be enough.

cheers!

Edit: Just read in the forum some people benefited from reducing the multiplier.
After reducing from 25 to 24 Hyperthreading works
