Another update: My Thunderbolt Display audio and camera working again like before. There was a problem with my SSDT-DTPG.aml (it was named as SSDT-DTPG.aml.aml). After correcting the name all the components on thunderbolt work again now with hot swap. :)

I am attaching the EFI again.

@madmarkdj You were using my files earlier. Maybe you can try the new files that I uploaded?

@nhasan77 Tried you new files, no success...

I'll give the Windows thing a try and let you all know! Thanks for your help so far!

@nhasan77 @CaseySJ

So I was finally able to test it with Windows 10 and the drivers for the Alpine Ridge. So, here's what worked so far:

  • Connected a Thunderbolt 2 SSD Drive via Apple Thunderbolt 3->2 Adapter
  • Booted Win10 -> Drive was detected by Windows
  • Restarted and booted OSX Mojave -> Drive was mounted and fully functional

When I boot OSX Mojave directly, the drive is not there

Did you try to install bootcamp5 on windows? https://support.apple.com/kb/dl1638?locale=en_GB (run the .msi in the drivers/apple folder). Not sure that will help.

Have you checked the following settings on the BIOS for thunderbolt card.

in ioreg I have thunderbolt in PCI0@0 and RP21@1B,4
so I modified SSDT-Z370-TB3HP.aml from RP05 to RP21 and saved it to /acpi/patched EFI folder with also SSDT-DTPG.aml. Than next I restart computer and nothing happens, I don't see any device in PCI slot at system properties. What I need to do? help me please

@Ferz2019, some comments and questions:
  1. Have you also modified the BIOS settings shown in Post #35 above?
  2. I can check the SSDT later this evening (not in front of a Mac right now).
  3. Do you by chance have Windows installed on this machine as well (dual boot system)?
  4. The two SSDTs provided by nhassan77 are attached here. Feel free to try these as well.

flashed F7 firmware (with
  1. Update CPU microcode for upcoming CPU
  2. Improve windows boot time)
and ... no luck.
PCI in system props are empty.

Now going to try your SSDT files...
