Gigabyte GA-Z77X-UP5 TH -- Won't stay asleep with ML 10.8.3 [SOLVED]

You have to rebuild cache and repair permissions after that. I use kext wizard for that.
Try installing the latest GenericUSBXHCI_1.2.6d2 as USB3 driver. It works here at my UP4.

I repaired permissions via disk utility. I did not know how to rebuild the cache, I used the "kextcache" script I found on these boards in order to repair them, but if you could tell me how to do it myself that'd be great!

Assuming kextcache" did what it was supposed to do, rebuilding the cache didn't help.

I have discovered the solution to the sleep issue.

The cooler I use, the Corsair h100i, is an all in one liquid cooler that connects to the motherboard internal usb2 header. I completely had forgotten about that - I was getting ECH1 wake reason because ECH1 = USB2 header, and the cooler is connected to the internal USB2 header. Apparrently Corsair coolers don't play nice with OSX and it was causing the wake issue.
