Gigabyte GA-Z77X-UP5 TH - Cannot Install System SW

Yes, that is what I thought, but for some reason it did not work. I had not seen the alpha147x blog, but see that it will be useful -- thank you! I am now trying to boot into the sys installed on the computer, but it does not want to comply. . .after I get that handled, I am going to try to install the graphics card.

Okay, try going to BIOS and set the card as primary and disable the HD4000 GPU. Now, try the install and or boot again.
Once, that is done report back. If that doesn't work then the BIOS may need to reset. Good luck stay in touch.

I wouldn't suggest to disabling the onboard video......I have the exact same board (Gigabyte Z77X UP5 TH) and my system is FULLY WORKING with an Nvidia 560Ti including USB 3.0 and Thunderbolt. Rather, I would use the onboard chip first to do the initial install first (because the install driver is lousy) before installing the Nvidia card. You need to connect it to the DVI port on the motherboard (with the Nvidia card removed) to do the install, before later reconnecting it to the farthest HDMI port on your Nvidia card once the system is fully installed.

Alfa has updated his tutorial here today to version 2.0 > http://www.tonymacx86.com/mountain-...nderbolt-updated-10-8-2-multibeast-5-2-a.html - but he DOESN'T cover installing to 10.8.2 with 5xx series card.

So I would suggest try my instructions first in the post here, which covers installation for a Fermi 5xx card using 1st option in Graphics in Multibeast 5.1.3 and see if it works for you. >
