I have some difficulties installing mountain lion and making the GTX570 work. After using Multibeast I get the apple screen “you need to restart your computer…”. When I disconnect the GTX570 mountain lion is running (with the onboard HD3000 graphics). I do hope someone can help me. I try to explain all the settings I used.

Bios version: F12
Bios settings:
- Setting Advanced CPU Features to ENABLED (all of the options)
- set XMP to Profile1
- No-Execute Memory Protect = Enabled
- SATA Control Mode = AHCI
- ACPI Suspend Type = S3 (STR)
- HPET Support = Enabled
- HPET Mode = 64-bit mode

Installation Mountain Lion:
- The GTX570 was installed in my system.
- I Installed Moutain Lion from Unibeast (USB stick) with GraphicsEnabler=No –v
- I do have to use an USB 2.0 port and disconnect keyboard and mouse (until language options show).

After installation I can boot into Mountain Lion. As usual I run Multibeast. I attached my Multibeast settings (any other comments on these settings are also welcome).

After I reboot (needed for the Realtek driver) I get the apple screen “you need to restart your computer…”.
- Using –v gives me no clue (it appears the hackintosh hangs on the realtek driver).
- Using GraphicsEnabler=No does not help as well.
- Mountain Lion only starts when I remove the GTX570 from my machine. Then it runs nicely. What did i do wrong?

I am stuck now what can i do to remove this problem?
- Should I do a “fresh” install (format the OS X drive and start over)
- Should I delete the older files (kext etc) from my HDD and then rerun multibeast? If so what directories or files should I delete?
- Should i install CUDA drivers first? At this point I did not install them. I thought the GTX570 was natively supported.
- Edit boot.config.plist? If so what should i add?

I am out of ideas. I even formatted the SSD and started all over again. I can reinstall Mountain Lion (PCIRootUID=0) and Mountain Lion works. The problems occur after the first reboot right after installing multibeast. After i run multibeast there is no way of booting normal (except safe mode -x).

How can i uninstall the kext from multibeast (i guess it is the nvidea driver)? Does anyone know a work-around?

I got the same mobo and cpu as you, but I have GTX680 4gb instead. Try after a fresh installed and in multibeast under boot options checked 32-bit GraphicEnbabler=No and 64-bit GraphicsEnabler=No and under SSDT set it to Core i5/i7 Overclocked. Now mine its boot straight into mountain lion and before that I had to type in "-f GraphicsEnabler=No".

Hi !

I've got the same graphic card but not the same mobo (Asus P8P67 Rev 3.1) and my Asus GTX 570 DCII is fully working OOB with OSX 10.8.
I'm using "GraphicsEnabler=Yes", I hope it will be helpfull for you !

Sorry for my english.

Regards

Thanks. I did not work for me. I sold the Graphicscard and i will buy a card that is native supported in Mountain Lion.
