i recently purchased some parts for my hackintosh. Ive posted the parts on TOnymacx86 to make sure that they were compatible, and in fact, they were. I put together all the parts, made a mountain lion boot up drive, and hooked it all up. The computer boots up to the iboot screen. Ive changed the bios to the settings needed. The Motherboard i used is a gigabyte ga-x79-up4 motherboard. Im using a intel core i7 processor, and a gtx 660ti graphics card. Ive started the iboot with GraphivsEnabler=No. Ive also started it with DSDT=jsdsjdj (Random letters) and -v. All of them didnt help with the boot up. The screen freezes on the white boot screen with an apply logo. Is their anything thats i missed or anything i should do to get this up and running, Thanks.

P.S. When i boot with -v i get lines of code that go on forever.

Please follow the forum rules and put your hardware in your profile
System = mainboard, cpu and gfx card are self explanatory

There are several X79 builds in the user builds forum with guides. Have you bothered to search for them? Please do so, and only then post if you have problems.

i have viewed those and many other success builds like it. Although none of them had my exact components i have tried troubleshooting my computer using these. None of them have been a success to me. My boot screen still freezes at the white screen with apple logo. After about 2-4 minutes my computer crashes but that is due to my processor overheating and i am currently fixing that problem. I have read on posts that the boot screen should last for no longer than a minute, then the loading bar should appear. Sadly, mine does not. If anyone has any ideas to help fix my problem, please help. Thanks

Did you make your UniBeast USB installer with the 10.8.2 download? This is the first download with support for the 660Ti.

I recently added my new heat sink so the computer isn't shutting down. I am using the downloaded version of Mountain Lion from the Mac App Store. I ran through the processes on this website to make a boot-able Mountain Lion Drive. When i hook up the USB drive, the computer boots up to the iboot screen. I have tried multiple commands such as DSDT=asdfg(Random Letters)(Because their isnt a DSDT for my board), GraphicsEnabler=No(Because i have read that i need to do this when i boot until i use Multibeast with my 660 ti), and -v. All of these have resulted in failiture. T get the white screen with apple logo for about a minute, then my screen said HDMI power saving mode, Then the screen goes black. The computer is still running though.

[PCI Configuration Begin] is the last line of code i get when i run the -v -x GraphicsEnabler=No darkwake=0. I used GraphicsEnabler=No because i believe i have to for my 660ti.

I used the bios configuration displlayed on the install guide.

No, this is how you should do it:

1) Please try run the system first with the Intel card in the DVI port. Get that going first because you need it to install.

2) Make sure your install drives is on the white SATA3 Port0 or SATA3 Port1

3) Boot into the Intel card with OSX Safe Mode with -v -x or -v -x PCIRootUID=0 GraphicsEnabler=Yes

4) Once you get in, run MB 5.1.3 and install the OpenGL 3rd driver (>GT670)

5) Do not reboot, but also download and install the Nvidia Mac GEForce drivers >http://www.nvidia.com/object/macosx-304.00.05f02-driver.html

6) Shutdown, install Nvidia card with connection to farthest DVI port and reboot with -v -x GraphicsEnabler=No. You should have Nvidia card working by now.

7) If you have sleep problems, google SleepEnabler (it's a kext) and have it installed onto your system with KextBeast.
