GiBy GA-Z97-D3H Z97 with UAD ?

I'm a musician and I am thinking of upgrading my perfectly running system with an UAD device.
Now my question is: Are there any ways to get an external Thunderbolt card working with a GiBy GA-Z97-D3H Z97 mainboard ?
In case this is not possible do you have any recommendations for a good PCI firewire card ?

That motherboard lacks a Thunderbolt header, so there is no way you can add TB to it.
