Hiya,

I've been at this for hours but with no luck at all.

I've followed the steps at http://www.tonymacx86.com/61-unibeast-install-os-x-mountain-lion-any-supported-intel-based-pc.html , but when I run the installer, I am getting a black screen.

I've tried using a number of boot options, e.g...
PCIRootUID=0
GraphicsEnabler=No
USBBusFix=Yes
-x
-v
...but I don't really know what I'm doing. Normally, I just get a black screen after I start the installer. I did get an Apple logo at one point, but I'm not sure what combination of these boot options I used for that, and I don't really want to keep experimenting as my laptop was getting really hot (near the power jack) and didn't smell very healthy either.

I've read that other people have had success installing Mountain Lion on the 5920G, so if anyone has any suggestions, I'd really appreciate it.

Many thanks,
James

Hi James,

I have exactly the same spec laptop (with the AMD graphics card) and am having exactly the same problem... Did you ever find a fix?

Best
