I’ve had a couple of failed attempts at upgrading from Yosemite to El Capitan on my CustoMac Mini. I’m using Clover. Now at the boot screen I get the usual options of drive choices plus I get the “Boot OS X Install …” choice which doesn’t work and I would like to get rid of it. How do I get rid of that boot choice? I’ve given up on El Capitan. I deleted the Install OS X El Capitan app which got rid of the “InstallESD.dmg” icon which was appearing in Disk Utility but nothing else. Any ideas?

Problem solved. Deleted the following invisible files: .IABootFiles (folder), .IAProductinfo, .Temporaryitems (folder) as well as the visible folder OS X InstallData. This also seemed to result in a faster boot of Yosemite.
