GenericUSBXHCI alternative

I decided to do a clean install of Mojave on my system, using clover as the Bootloader. Everything is working pretty well except for the USB 3.0 as it uses a 3rd party controller (VIA VL805). All of my rear USB 3.0 ports don't work, the front panel ones do, however, because they use the chipset rather than the VIA controller. Same case with USB 2.0

I can get the rear ports working with genericusbxhci.kext however it causes problems with my machine (refuses to shut down, screen goes black but machine stays running). I realise that kext is no longer updated, so what can I use for this issue? Are there any other kexts available?

same issues here, i wish somebody can help, the only thing i wanted is proper system shutdown instead of always restart
