General DDR4 Ram advice.

Is the more expensive/faster DDR4 worth the extra money?

Hi guys, I'm planning a new build, mainly for Audio production and Video Editing (FCP), i have selected all the components I want but I'm having trouble deciding how high end my Ram should be and how much difference it makes.

I'll get an Asus Z370-G + 8700k + RX580 (upgrade Vega64 eventually when the prices stop being so ridiculous)

I guess my question is, is it worth performance-wise to buy expensive ram like:
G.SKILL PC4-28800 3600Mhz 16GB TRIDENT Z CL16 (2X8GB) DDR4 +-360.80 €
Over something a bit more modest like:
G.SKILL PC4-25600 3200Mhz 16GB TRIDENT Z CL16 (2X8GB) DDR4 +-
230.40 €

I don't want to spend an extra 150€ if the faster and more expensive ram only gives a 2sec faster export from Final Cut or similar. Sorry if this is a stupid question but I really couldn't find a proper answer, all benchmarks and comparisons I find are oriented towards gaming performance.

I don't run final cut pro, but in my experience hard drive speed is the biggest benefit, so spend that 150 (plus) on an NVME drive. Then 32gig memory would be better than faster memory, then the Vega, then a better CPU.
I actually would be considering X299 so you can move forward in cores rather than being stuck with Z370...
But you'd have to get feedback from other video editing guys. I'm more a modelling guy.
In the end, faster memory is good when you've squeezed everything else you can get out of it. ie: the last thing to spend your spare cash on...
Thanks for the reply.
My current system already has a 960evo NVMe, I'll re-use it on the next build.
Would an i9-7820X 8 core be that much faster than an i7-8700k 6 core (overclocked)? An i9-7900X 10 core is way out of my budget at 1000$+
I was under the assumption that X299 system are much more complicated to hack than Coffee Lake, is this an incorrect assumption?
