Alright, so I am looking to build my first Hackintosh. I currently have a Mid 2012 Macbook Pro with 16GB DDR3 RAM, 2.6 GHz Intel Core i7, NVIDIA GeForce GT 650M 1024 MB, 500GB Samsung 840 EVO SSD, 1TB SSHD (running Windows 8.1). I love having the dual boot for gaming, but my system isn't up to the specs I would like, which is why I am looking to do my first build.

I need a computer that can handle gaming on high graphic settings (Titanfall, Assassins Creed IV, CSGO, etc.) As well as have the ability to run Adobe CS6 programs efficiently. I am looking to build a fairly high-end system. For now, I am wanting to stay under $2,000. My biggest concern is the motherboard. I want a high-end motherboard, but I would prefer to do limited adjusting to it.

Here is what I currently have/want.

Motherboard.
This is where you come in. What should I get?

Also, any other suggestions, or ideas would be great. Are all of my parts compatible so far? Do you recommend any other parts? Thanks for the help!

I just put together my first build about a month ago. My best advice on which parts to buy would be for you to copy exactly the parts in a successful build that someone has already done, preferably one of the guys who works here.

This will give you the greatest chance of compatibility and success. It will also give you confidence that your parts should work if you have trouble getting the system to function properly. Just because parts are on a recommended list doesn't mean that they are guaranteed to work or that all of the combinations of different parts on the lists have been tested together. Again, buy stuff that someone has already assembled and has it working (properly).

Most of the people here use an 8 GB USB to build the installer. I did as well but if I were going to do it again I would use 16 GB. When I build my installer on the 8GB USB it started quickly and slowed to a crawl, as if it were nearly full and and it didn't work the first time. Go with the 16 GB for piece of mind.

I bought my MB and case from the recommended lists but they didn't fit right. The case blocked the sata connectors so I had to remove the MB and cut the case with a dremel tool. i can tell you not to get the z87x ud7th and Corsair Carbide 500R
Edit:
This thread has pictures that show how this MB and case are not compatible.
