This might be a dumb question, if so, the answer should be fairly quick and simple. I want to update the Hardware on my "Mac Pro" [SEE SIGNATURE - 1ST BUILD]. Can the EVGA GTX 1060 work on the Gigabyte z97x series motherboards?

The card will work with the motherboard, but you can't use El Capitan since support for the GTX1060 is only available with MacOS Sierra 10.12.4 or later. I suggest you use MacOS Sierra 10.12.6 if you go with this combination.

If you have an older graphics card such as one from the Maxwell generation (e.g. GTX960) then you can use El Capitan.
