September can't come soon enough! I wonder why they are so slow in releasing them. Maybe they decided to go with Thunderbolt 2 instead?

TB2 chipsets aren't shipping to OEMs yet. I'd reckon it's TB1. There are a very small number of us using Thunderbolt. CNET has a story on Acer dropping TB support and a look at how adoption has been slow. http://news.cnet.com/8301-11386_3-5...lt-remains-high-end-rarity-as-acer-drops-out/ For pro level audio and video it's great. For most everything else USB 3 works well and is less expensive.

Yea I figured it would be a stretch to have TB 2 so soon. As I get more into audio, video, etc, I just want some kind of Thunderbolt in my next computer whether it's a real Mac or a Hackintosh so I can be better future-proofed.

Thanks for posting this! My new dream board!! Droooollllll.....

I have been waiting for a tunderbolt mb that has multiple pci 16x and 8x lanes. Having tb on the motherboard is wayyyyyyyy cheaper than buying a dedicated SAS card for RAID purposes.

Hmmm no USB 2 ports in the back... I have no problem with that, but I not all my USB 2.0 devices work on USB 3.0 ports with the 7 series boards and Mountain Lion (i.e. GA Z77N-WiFi)..

I'm pretty much USB 3.0 only nowadays but yeah, just wondering....
