GA-z77x-UP5 TH sleep?

Status

This is the description I found in the system.log:

handle_will_sleep_auth_and_shield_windows: releasing authw 0x7fcd7c3679b0(2002), shield 0x7fcd7e203710(2001), lock state 3
Apr 25 21:14:57 localhost WindowServer[90]: handle_will_sleep_auth_and_shield_windows: err 0x0

As far as anything external, I have a few peripherals attached. A microsoft wireless keyboard and mouse, as well as an Apple wired keyboard, and a printer. The Apple keyboard and printer are both running to the computer through a USB hub. I remember on an old PC I had a problem with the Mac keyboard waking the computer from sleep at random moments. Could this potentially be the problem?

Importantly, though, when PleaseSleep.app initiates the sleep, the computer then goes to sleep just fine with no spontaneous wakes. So, it seems to me that its not a matter of the system being incapable of going to sleep, or something else necessarily interfering with the sleep process. Rather, it is just that it wont sleep on its own without something (or someone) else initiating it.

If you suspect it could be the Apple keyboard, I'd try a different one... Or without it at all... Process of elimination.

@RehabMan
I'm also having trouble with autosleep. I think it may be an external drive but I'm sure yet. Your help would be Greatly Appreciated.

Looks like it to me too. Seems obvious: Disconnect external devices until the assertion goes away...
