You're joking, right? OS X Snow Leopard 10.6.3 on Ivy Bridge board with Sandy Bridge CPU !!! This machine is even Mountain Lion capable, so I can suggest you to upgrade as soon as possible.

my audio works but just sounds really bad

Define "sounds really bad". It sounds bad because of the lack of Sandy/Ivy Bridge support in Snow Leopard (actually, SL doesn't support Ivy Bridge at all).

at system defnitions it says i have no kext installen on my HD3000

That's because you have to upgrade your Snow Leopard to at least 10.6.8, because it's the first OS X version with Ivy Bridge (and HD 3000) support.

If you ask me, here's what you have to do:

1. Install OS X Mountain Lion
2. Install MultiBeast with the following options selected:

- UserDSDT or DSDT-Free Installation
- Drivers and bootloaders/Drivers/Audio/Realtek ALC8xx/Without DSDT/ALC892
- Drivers and bootloaders/Drivers/Network/Realtek Gigabit Ethernet.... (lnx2mac's kext doesn't work well with this board, I had DHCP problems and replaced it with the Realtek Gigabit Ethernet.... driver)
- Drivers and bootloaders/Drivers/Disk/Trim Enabler/10.8.1+ Trim patch (for the SSD)
- Customization/Boot options/1080p Display (this is a must if you have 1080p display, otherwise skip it)

And make sure your board is configured according to this guide.
Good luck!

Thanks a lot man!
i will follow your suggestions

Hi Philip,

your thread is very helpful. I also have an GA-Z77N-WIFI with a GT640 and Corsair 16 GIG RAM -> actually every devices which are recommended here: http://www.tonymacx86.com/325-building-customac-buyer-s-guide-january-2013.html

I did do all the steps mentioned in some tutorials here and of course in the forum. Means: Used UniBeast to create my bootable Mac and then installed it. After the first restart I needed to start with -x otherwise the system is not starting. Then I used MultiBeast and checkmarked everything you mentioned here except the Realtek Gigabit Ethernet because it's not provided in the latest version of MultiBeast (I guess) . Then restarted. But actually the screen freezes in normal mode. When starting in verbose mode the computer stucks at exactly these lines:

com_lnx2mac_RealtekRTL81xx: Ethernet address 90:2b:...
com_lnx2mac_RealtekRTL81xx: Ethernet address 90:2b...
[IOBluetoothHCIController::setConfigState] calling registerService
considerRebuildOfPrelinkedKernel com.apple.kext.OSvKernDSPLib triggered rebuild

Then nothing happens anymore.
Do you have any ideas? What could this be? I am absolutely new and don't have any idea. How can I get this working?

You should try installing mountain lion. That fixed all of my problems.
