I'm using the same mobo as yours.

For sound, I installed just the sound driver for ALC887 current from Multibeast 5.4.3, then I ran audio_cloverALC-130_v0.3.command tool provided by Toledo, rebooted then magic happens.

The sound works.

This would be the simplest Hackintosh ever for me.

ALC887 current is correct
Mountain Lion, bad idea.
MultiBeast and cloverALC install the same files.
Use one method or the other, not both.

ALC887/888b from Multibeast 10.4.0 works for me in High Sierra on GA-Z77-DS3H. The system even sleeps and wakes properly, which is something I had trouble with in earlier builds on this board.

I struggled a lot with this one. I have the exact same mobo. I went from Yosemite to High Sierra.
To make the sound works, here what I did right after the install:
- mount /EFI (using CLover Configurator)
- from https://github.com/acidanthera/AppleALC/releases put the latest AppleALC.kext and Lilu.kext in /EFI/CLOVER/kexts/Other/
- download from https://github.com/toleda/audio_CloverALC audio_cloverALC-130.command.zip and realtekALC.kext.zip and unzip same in Downloads folder
- execute audio_cloverALC-130_v0.6.command (I injected to 1), reboot and voilà.

I said struggle because it wasn't working with the Multibeast - High Sierra Edition, neither changing the AppleHDA.kext, or using the AppleHDA patcher etc ... only this methods works for me after a fresh reinstall. So if you mess up, reinstall everything (even on top of your current install) to get some clean files and follow what I did.

Well on High Sierra, the first method alone didn't work and only this way worked up for me. Maybe copying the AppleALC and Lilu were unecessary but after spending 3 nights banging my head on that I just thought I would share how this works for me with the exact same motherboard. I haven't seen yet any conflict.

Problem is specific to your system, missed Post #2

Makes no sense offering other users an unsupported "solution" that will fail sooner or later

yes on High Sierra, on my system of course which is the same as the system of the OP ... I didn't miss Post #2, I just decided to not bother anyone and find by myself.

All the "supported solution" didn't work (and yes again, for me, on high sierra, on my system). If some other people struggle like I did, I would have been happy to find this right away.
