GA-Z77-DS3H MSI R6870 Sleep works but GPU still on

Hey I have had my Hackintosh for a while now, everything runs very well but I have a problem/concern. I can put my Hackintosh to sleep and it works fine, but the gpu is still running with the fans on. Is this normal? I don't want to burn out my computer or something like that plus I don't want to hear noise from the computer while I am sleeping in my room.

Specs:

i3 2100
GA-Z77-DS3H
MSI R6870
TP-LINK4800 Wifi Card

I'm in a similar situation, my computer takes the sleep command, but all the fans and lights stay on. Then I can't get it to wake back up.

Same here.

Have a GA Z77 D3H, with a Radeon 6870.

The computer goes into sleep, but eh GPU fans are in full speed, and then I cant get it to wake up.

My computer CAN wake up but I can't get the gpu to shut off. I have used darkwake=10 and darkwake=12 still nothing.

oh, well than... not really the same as mine. What about darkwake=8? I read in a thread around here people had successful sleep with that.

I'm on GA Z77xD3H and 10.8.3. When I hit sleep in Apple menu I just get a white screen. Fans etc still running.
