[SOLVED] GA-Z77-DS3H (i3-2100) fails to load AppleIntelSNBGraphicsFB

Hi

I have followed tony's instruction for Mountain Lion and UniBeast. But the setup fails
to load graphics and show me the introduction screen of MLion.
I have tried all combination of PCIRootUID, GraphicsEnabler, as well as resetting the BIOS
to default value and only setting the HD mode to AHCI. I am also connecting my monitor
to DVI port.

I also inserted my GTS250 into motherboard and tried again, this time it said
nVidia kext was successfully loaded and then monitor went completely blank
and started showing its default screen saver! although I could see some disk activity
on the USB flash!

These are the last logs on the screen when I was only using the onboard Intel graphics chipset:

- OSMetaClass: Kext com.apple.driver.AppleIntelSNBGraphicsFB class HDCPtrl is a duplicate;kext com.apple.driver.AppleIntelFrabebufferCapri already has a class by that name.
- Kext com.apple.driver.AppleIntelSNBGraphicsFB start failed (result 0xdc00400a)
- Kext com.apple.driver.AppleIntelSNBGraphicsFB failed to load (0xdc008017)
- ACPI_SMC_PlatformPlugin::start - waitForService(resourceMatching(AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement) timed out
- DSMOS has arrived
- [IOBluetoothHCIController][start] -- completed
- AtherosL1cEthernet : Ethernet address (removed)

I should also add the current system is running Lion perfectly (using UniBeast/MultiBeast):
GA-Z77-DS3H (F6)
Intel i3-2100 @ 3.1GHz
Crosair 2x4GB RAM

Any input/hint is appreciated

The Intel HD2000, which is build in your cpu, is not supported. I think it's somehow possible to get a picture out of the HD2000 but only without QE/CI, but I'm not sure about that. Definitely it's not as easy as get a HD4000 or HD3000 working.
Don't know what to do to get a nVidia card running. I own AMD.

I had success w/ the DS3H and HD2000. There is no OpenGL/hardware acceleration support.

Check this thread for the tweaks you need to make

I am not sure why, but the only way I got to the ML install screen was using GraphicsEnabler=Yes and -f each time through Chimera.

Thanks for the help guys, really appreciated.

I will try the suggested method and report back here.
I guess I have to modify UniBeast files.

I thought the graphics card was built into the motherboard rather than CPU!

ok, the suggested method work but I had to delete HD4000 kext as well.
so here is what I did.

Disabled my GTS250 and enabled the internal graphics in bios.
Deleted/Edited the files on the Unibeast USB as suggested above
also deleted AppleIntelHD4000GraphicsGLDriver.bundle
Booted my machine using the Unibeast usb and used:
GraphicsEnabler=yes -f -v at the bootloader, otherwise it wouldn't get to
installation screen.

After installing the Mountain Lion, and rebooting I did not boot into
newly installed Mountain Lion, it would freeze again.
So I booted into Unibeast installation process but instead of installing
mountain lion again, I chose the Terminal from the top menu.
Using the 'mount' command I figured out which hard disk was used
for installing Mountain Lion (I have 4 drives). Then did the same
edits/deletes in the S/L/E of the fresh installed ML.

Rebooted and this time I chose the ML. It worked and I got to install
multibeast and all that jazz. After that was done, I rebooted and disabled
the internal graphics in BIOS setting, and upon reboot ML recognized and loaded
the drivers for my GTS250 card :)
The only issue I've experienced so far is after sleep and upon wake up, the screen
sometimes gets splited in half and the lower half appears at the top!!!
Not sure what's going on as I didn't have this issue in Lion.

Hope this helps other people with GA-Z77-DS3H board and an i3-2100 Intel cpu like mine.
p.s. going to try EFI string for my card and see if it works.
also do you happen to know if there is any DSDT going around for this board?

Mobo: Asrock H77M-ITX
CPU: Intel Core i3-2100T (HD2000 graphics)
RAM: Mushkin Silverline DDR3 1 x 4Gb
HDD: Toshiba 250Gb 2.5" beater

I had the same issue and previously followed the process listed above to get mine to install.

HOWEVER, I just went and recreated my ML install flash drive (previously I was using a SanDisk Cruzer Blade 8Gb, switched to TEAM Group F108 32Gb USB3 plugged into a USB2 port) and used Unibeast 1.5.3 for Mountain Lion to reinstall and didn't delete the kexts mentioned above from the USB drive before installing.

My install DID freeze in the same way when trying a vanilla boot, but as soon as I used GraphicsEnabler=yes -f -v it booted straight through to the install screen, without having deleted the kexts.

Having completed the install, I was also able to get the HD to boot using the same bootup argument.
