GA-Z68X-UD3H-B3 Firewire

Hey guys any news about the firewire problem? If someone has a pci card thats work please post it.

I don't understand why this mobo was recommended if firewire doesn't work. I only bought it for that issue. Anyway a pci card should also be fine.
 
Big Bummer for me too ..

I have same mobo.

Really wanted to use the onboard firewire.
Been told that it would work.
Now i have to remove my graphics card (Nvidia GT 220) to make room for a firewire pcie card.
The nvidia card takes room for 2 slots thats why.
And i have to use onboard video HD3000.

Not ideal i think.

Still find it real odd that onboard firewire IS seen in Apple's system profile.
I am on 10.7.2.

the problem in the VIA chipset
I think we can only add a PCIE firewire additional with Texas chipset is the most compatibile

Hello. Did anyone ever get their 2 blue USB 3.0 ports working? Actually those ports don't work on windows for me either. Thx
