Helo, i would like to buy a Ga-z170xp-sli motherboard to install El Capitan, and would like to know if the PCI ports will work (not the PCI Express). Thanks in advance.

PCI ports will work fine but AFAIK 170 platform is only supported by Sierra... I think that's correct?

PCI i mean, not the PCI Express ones. Thid you mean the same?

I am not quite sure. The only thing I tried was a broadcomm wifi/bt card to see if I could hack it. But it appears to be a non-apple variety and is not on the sierra whitelist.
