This CustoMac install went very smoothly until it came time to try patching audio.

I’ve got the system installed on an NVMe SSD fully updated 10.13.4 as of yesterday, 1060 web graphics, sleep, both LANs, USBs and SATA all nice and stable.

That was all mostly within Multibeast, though iMessage required Clover Configurator to create a hardware serial and smbios before it began working. I also had to reset the network config to get the correct SMB address of 0 and 1 for my LANs before iMessage accepted my sign in.

I’m using system definition 17,1.

This 170 chipset board uses Creative 3D Sound Core onboard audio which works really well in Windows, though I need some help in being steered in the correct direction. My goal is to only use Toslink/SPDIF out to my sound system.

Where to start with everything else being current?

Thanks a million in advance for any insightful directions. The pinned post above regarding High Sierra Audio is apparently off topic according to a mod.

Mahalo,
C
