Hi all,
I tried since 3 days to install unibeast 1.7 ML
on my GA-X79S-UP5 bios (F3) with I7-3930K.
I have always the apple logo and black screen.
I tried different combination flags saw on the net:
-x -f PCIRootUID=1/0 GraphicsEnabler=Yes/No
After Verbose i read "Still waiting for root device". (picture)
i tried to change my usb key (unibeast) in different port (usb2) back and front.
i still tested to change my SSD in a different Esata Port.

I'm not sure to set correctly the bios.
if somebody can help me i will be very very happy :)

And so sorry for my poor and bad english! i'm french..

Merci beaucoup.

S.

Ps:
My config:
GA-X79S-UP5
i7-3930k
RADEON HD6870 or NvidiaGT120
32 Gram 1600mhz

Up up please help ! :D

Hey thanks for helping me Khan! :)

So, for the bios Version, i saw there is a another last version F4u (beta) link: http://www.gigabyte.fr/products/product-page.aspx?pid=4287&dl=1#bios. do you think it's better to flash it ? (i've already flash the MB from F1)

and for the Sata 0 or 1 i 've already done, the same for USB 2 port.
if i understand, you advice me to desable marvell lan?
what flags would you advice to me?

merci.

Latest non beta BIOS should be ok. SATA ports with Marvell chipsets are not working for install, use Intell SATA ports.

Ok I Will try! Thank you Khan
i let you know..

It doesn´t works..

I tried to re install unbeast 1.7 in my USB key, and always the same problem!
Somebody can help us?

I had the same problem, banged my head against the wall forever. I fixed it by connecting to F_USB1 which is near the reset switch on your motherboard and it will be labeled as such. You will have to use the Extra USB adapter supplied with your motherboard that has the PCI backplate to connect to F_USB1. Then try the newly hooked up ports on the PCI backplate, the furthest port to the left is what worked for me (looking at the back of the case). I booted with the following:

-v GraphicsEnabler=No npci=0x3000 cpus=1

Hope that helps.

Wow great!!!!!
I hope tha'ts will be a good solution for me!:)
but, i have a few questions:
I tried to find this famous usb adapter supplied in the box of my motherboard, but i didn't see it!
so if i understand correctly, i have to buy something like this? ===> http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=3949897 that i would plug to the F_USB1 port (near the resetpower) that i've found :)
and next step: i connect my usbkey unibeast boot in a left port of this extra usb adapter..that's right?

i think i didn't do correctly settings in the bios, do you have some advices about this please ??

thank U for your help
