I'm trying to follow the xmove guide here: http://tonymacx86.blogspot.com/2011/07/ ... -lion.html

I created the "Installer" partiton and used xMove to put the installer on it. When I boot into the Installer partition, I get a kernel panic:

Code:
panic(cpu 6 caller 0x8179dce9): "No HPETs available...CPU(s) configured incorrectly\n"@/SourceCache/AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement/AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement-166/pmThread.c:156
Debugger called: <panic>

My specs are:
GA-X58A-UD3R (socket 1366)
Core i7 920
12GB Ram
NVidia GTX260

1) I tried booting with -x -v and pmVersion=0 and there is no change
2) I'm aware of the bios setting changes and I'm able to boot Snow Leopard ok

Any ideas/suggesions?

Managed to install Lion, booted into Snow Leopard, installed Multibeast on Lion but not able to get the Nvidia 260 GTX graphics card working - it is stuck at 1024x768 with no acceleration :/ - This is strange as it shows both monitors at 1920x1200 during install! - I suspect maybe because multibeast boots with arch=i386 while the install boots in 64bit mode?

Experimenting...

If I again boot from the rboot CD, Lion loads fine, with graphics, acceleration, lan - only thing that requires modification is sound.

If I use multibeast, I get 1024x768, no lan and no sound.

EDIT: I tried to use multibeast just to install the bootloader, I also tried to use the standalone Chimera installer. Both cause the kernel panic in the first post :/

If I however use rBoot, my Lion installation boots without any modifications!

Any ideas?

Lets recap:

1) Darwin/x86 boot v5.0.132 - Chimera v1.5.4 r1394 < from rBoot - loads unmodified Lion and installer - everything works except for Audio.
2) Darwin/x86 boot v5.0.132 - Chimera v1.5.4 r1394 < from Multibeast or Chimera standalone installer - kernel panic on boot for both installer and installed Lion.
3) Installing multibeast (easybeast) breaks graphics and Lan :/
4) Changing arch=i386 to arch=x86_64 shows library kext com.apple.iokit.IOGraphicsFamily not found. and the interface does not load (just black screen).

Any ideas what else I could try?

Are your kexts migrated to new folder with new multibeast ? might be looking for things in wrong location

try this

Run Multibeast and install "NullCPUPowerManagement" (located under Drivers & Bootloaders->Kexts & Enablers->Miscellaneous). It worked for me.

I was running into a similar problem today with enabling the "64-bit Apple Boot Screen" in MultiBeast. I eventually found a reference to enabling the "Use KernelCache" option along with "64-bit Apple Boot Screen" option.

Once I did that, I'm botting into a fully 64-bit kernel successfully. So, you might want to give it a go.
