Quick Guide here to get USB 3.0 working again under OS 10.8.2.
I have it working and stable on my GA-X58A-UD3R (2.0) motherboard, YMMV

First step is to remove the existing USB 3.0 drivers, navigate to System/Library/Extensions and delete CalDigitFastIO.kext, CalDigitHDProDrv.kext and CalDigitUSBxHCI.kext (enter password)

Download the following file (Posted Sep 9, 2012): http://www.osx86.net/downloads.php?do=file&id=3187

Use KextBeast (http://www.tonymacx86.com/downloads.php?do=file&id=32) to install
Reboot

Under System Information it will still read "Up to 480 Mb/sec"

Yet trasnfer speeds will be consistant with USB 3.0 (copied to a Vertex Plus SSD over USB 3.0)

I guess I don't know how to post the pictures properly yet... (sigh)

PXHCE kext was presented in Multibeast 4.6 but then was replaced with CalDigit in 5.1.
with CalDigit kext, my port is detected in system profile, but never worked so I use PXHCD.

But I agree with you, PHXCD makes my usb 3.0 port work in GA-Z68AP-D3 board.

Pretty sure Multibeast uses the 1.0.8 PXHCD, the one linked here is the newer 1.0.10 version. I am running it on my GA-X58A-UD5 (2.0) under 10.8.1 with no problems. Having the delivered CalDigit drivers has not been a problem under 10.8.0 or 10.8.1 for me, but it was causing issues with the newer chips. Look like we may have to take it out now too.

Want to confirm that this works for me with my GA-X58A-UD5.

1.0.10 with the caldigit drivers removed works.
1.0.8 with the caldigit drivers removed does not work.

Thanks for the info. I am testing it right now. Installing new version and CalDigit kexts are removed.

Does the sleep work?

I don't know why, but new PXHCD won't load. Tried to reboot with -f, but nothing.

When CalDigit kexts are loaded, it will show as super speed but nothing gets mounted.
