Hi

I just got the following system:

Mobo: GA-P55A-UD3 rev 2.0
CPU: Intel Core i5 760
RAM: 8GB Corsair XMS3 1600Mhz
HDD: Samsung Spinpoint F1 1TB
GPU: eVGA 8400GS

So I installed 10.6.3 from the retail DVD booting with iBoot, restarted and had working network, video, audio.

Installed multibeast (userdsdt )with the DSDT for my motherboard and rebooted. No network and no audio, fired multibeast again and installed Legacy8xxx and the Realtek drivers. Now network and audio work fine.

Sleep doesn't work. Would never wake from the power button nor keyboard or USB.

Restart doesn't work well either. It shuts down just fine but after that when restarting the KB and mouse keep going on/off on/off at the boot screen and never comes back.

It will come back with a Hard Restart but the network will never work again. Gotta unplug the cord and plug it back in for it to work fine.

Edit: argh posted on the wrong forum delete it please

When using MB, be sure that you are choosing well.

if you see that the menu have a > pointing like that, open it and choose inside, if you don't do that, you might be installing conflicting kext's.

Thanks for the replies!

I got it to work under 10.6.3 will upgrade tonight to 10.6.5

Started from scratch and only used the DSDT, the lnx driver and alc new driver.

The guide also state that you should install with just 4GB of ram.

also, what's your optical drive?

But installations goes just fine, optimization is the issue.

It's a TEAC sata full siez DVD-RW. Installation went smoothly

I was asking beacuase when choosing my parts, I was prompted to only use Sony Optiarc or Pioneer OD in order to avoid sleep related issues.

I also had USB problems in my first attempt. Problems went away with proper BIOS configuration and the righ use of the MB tools.
