GA-P55-US3L installing graphics kills system

First thanks for advice so far...
4 days of amateur hacking later...
I am able to install snow 10.6.2 following your step advice (multibeast)
but audio, ethernet and graphics no success...
But when installing the graphics system shows only black screen and im back to booting in -x
My graphics card
XFX Geforce 9400 GT Standard
GF 9400 GT 550M 512MB TV DVI PCI Express 2.0 x16 512 MB DDR2 PV-T94G-YHH2
Mobo
GA-P55-US3L F5 Rev 1.0
Ram. TW3X4G1333C9DHX G 8GB 1333 in 4 slots
I7 860 2.80 Ghz
Am i Posting a new topic on an old answer ?
Is there a fail safe method to getting my setup running 100 %

Your board should work 100% in 10.6.2 with RealtekR1000SL.kext for network, NVenabler64 for graphics, and the DSDT for your specific board.

Best thing to do would be to delete your /Extra folder and start fresh with MultiBeast. Then install com.apple.boot.plist 64 bit, iMac11,1 smbios, ALC 888, and the above options. Good luck!

PS: This will get easier with the new guide- full support with 1 click for all P55 Gigabyte boards.

i not sure if i should leave the dsdt-ga.p55-us3l.aml or rename it ?
And if i should rename ...how is that done best ?

Right click "dsdt-ga.p55-us3l.aml", click get info and change it to DSDT.aml

Thanks it worked however im now back to black screen even if booting -v-x or -f

You can boot back in via the CD if you're "locked" out.

Now im re-installing for the 50 some time this time iboot...

Yeah I generally try new installs/testing on a separate disk. That way you can load into your working install and move/edit files.
More specifically I use Esata, so I can connect it to my Macbook Pro via usb if anything needs to be moved/edited.
