GA-H81M-S1 (rev. 2.1) question

I wouldn't use any graphics injection at all - I *think* the default setting may be to have Intel graphics injection - but I may be wrong, so confirm yourself. install Ethernet but not audio or USB3 at this point. Use System Definition iMac 14,2 for your hardware.
Update - Installed everything the same but before adding GPU I used WebDriver-346.03.03f01.pkg
Then I rebooted. Using HDMI everything works even games and dvd player. But it says just Nvidia graphic device ( not gt710 dunno why) and now I have no sound probably because of hdmi...

What do we do with sound?

Looks cosmetic as long as it shows the correct amount of video RAM for the card, then that is fine. HDMI audio requires some additional steps - I don't use it as my monitors do not have inbuilt speakers.

HDMI Audio board:

But how to use audio from motherboard when connected via HDMI ?

It does not show up

It shows 1 gb ram of video

If you can play videos just fine and as long as the card shows at least 1GB of RAM then you are fine - it is only cosmetic so don't worry about it.

The audio from the 3.5mm jack sockets uses the onboard ALC audio codec - HDMI audio does not.

To get HDMI audio running there are two options available, the first is the correct method, but it is more difficult and involved to complete. There is however good support using this method:

The second method is more 'quick and dirty':

I don't have inbuilt speakers in monitor but I have onboard 3.5 jack can I use it while I'm on hdmi? or I should swap to DVI-D

Install just the audio options that you installed using MultiBeast and listed in the first post in this thread. Then reboot and test audio.

I have the same issue with sound : thank's !

U mean ALC887 going to work if I'm gonna stick with dvi-d ?? Thanks for your patience

The ALC 887 that your board has works on the 3.5mm jacks on the rear IO. Connect this up to a 3.5mm input on your monitor for audio.
If you needed HDMI audio working then follow either of the guides to do that - you will find that HDMI audio works through DVI and where available DisplayPort too.

Maybe I made you confused at the moment I'm connect via hdmi and 3.5 jack does not work so the question is - if I connect via dvi will my 3'5 motherboard jack show up in audio ?

Last question am I good to make system updates via App Store ?
