GA-EP45-UD3P v1.6
http://www.gigabyte.com/products/product-page.aspx?pid=3137#ov
I have used this board since Snow Leopard, as I think it was the one recommended by Lifehacker. Everything was working great until back around Mavericks, when the sound stopped working. I was never able to edit my own DSDT file that did anything else then make it freeze on boot. But because of another post on here, I downloaded the GA-EP45-UD3R DSDT file. As far as I can tell the UD3R version's only difference is 1 x16 PCIx slot versus 2 for the UD3P. That tip eventually got audio working under Yosemite. Yes, it took me a while to find it.
But, now, I don't have sound again in El Capitan. Everything else seems to be working, however. Below is a picture of my Multibeast settings:
Now I am having the same problem again. Any hints, I have been searching for this issue for years before I finally posted after my reprieve in Yosemite with the tip on the UD3R DSDT.
GA-EP45-UD3P v1.6
Q6600 CPU
Currently NVIDIA GTS 8800 320GB (Upgrading to Gigabyte Geforce GTX 950, once everything else is running)
4GB RAM (Another upgrade coming in the future, although it's never slowed it down so far)
Both NIC's working
Thanks in advance,
Scott
