Hi all!
I'm very new to the mackintosh scene, and would love to get High Sierra up and running on an old hard drive with my current gaming rig. After various failed attempts over the last week from all sorts of guides (yosemite, el capitan, high sierra, etc), I have found today in an old forum post that apparently there was doubt as to whether the G4560 can actually be used with AMD GPUs due to the need for a compatible iGPU for acceleration, however this thread was posted a while back, and I was wondering if anyone has managed to boot even into the installer using this combo?
Any info would be appreciated.

Not tested with RX480 and RX5xx but should work, HD5xx/HD6xx work fine with AMD GPU, tested with AMD HD5570 / HD6450 / HD7750 / RX460 as primary, full IQSV. Use empty frame ig-platform-id 0x19120001 for HD5xx, 0x59120003 for HD6xx (need clover boot arg -disablegfxfirmware), need lilu + whatevergreen kexts for HD7750 / RX460

User of G4560 and I strongly do not recommend this g4560 for hackintosh because of the performance.
Actually, It can ran smoothly with trackpad after upgrading to 10.13.1, but it does run slower than my mac-mini-2014 almost 2min when exporting the vedio in iMovie(rely on CPU more than GPU).

In my case, seems to be different, same speed as my HD630 when exporting video from QT, G4560 (HD610) work very well with AMD GPU, especially in 4K@60 H265 video playback, very smooth better than HD630 stand alone mode, if HD610 + RX460 then both GPUs HW decoder work together.

It does not work well with HD610 + NV GT730, can HW decode H264 / H265 (IGPU) but video playback seems to be slightly lagging in H264, poor in 4K@60 H265 video playback.

I mean just make a simple non-linear editing in iMovie (split, cut, add transitions etc) then export. It takes a long time.

I do not use iMovie, as I know, video effect should rely on CPU and OpenCL performance more than IQSV.
