I am working on my second build and I have a spare G4 Sawtooth PowerMac G4. I would like to figure out how to get the right parts which will fit in the case with minimal cutting at best. I'm thinking of a mATX board, at least a 400 watt power supply, a Core i3 1156 socket processor and OOB graphics card. It doesn't need to be as powerful as my first build(refer to signature). I have a prospective list of parts from newegg right now as follows;

Intel Core i3-550 Clarkdale 3.2GHz 4MB L3 Cache LGA 1156 73W Dual-Core Desktop Processor BX80616I3550

Intel BOXDH55PJ LGA 1156 Intel H55 Micro ATX Intel Motherboard

CORSAIR XMS3 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1333 (PC3 10666) Desktop Memory Model TW3X4G1333C9A G

Seagate Barracuda 7200.12 ST31000528AS 1TB 7200 RPM 32MB Cache SATA 3.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive -Bare Drive

ZOTAC ZT-84MEG5M-HSL GeForce 8400 GS 256MB 64-bit DDR2 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready Low Profile Ready Video Card- possible graphics card ??? Based off of graphics card data base to specs posted on others which were OOB.

I know the toughest part will be mounting the board to the existing case being there will be some modifications there as well as making the power supply fit. The other part will be making the original power switch work with the new board and power supply. My options are to possibly have a new power switch and convert it to work with the existing so it looks authentic or rewire the existing.

Has anyone thought of attempting this, if so how did you go about it to make it look as authentic as possible? Any hardware suggestions for internal parts ?
