Hi,
i just bought a G4 Cube in perfect conditions, and i'm planning to refresh it.
I already built a Hackintosh (i5 4690K@4,5Ghz, Z87 MB, and GTX770).

I would like the cube to be low electric consumption, silent, but still able to do some advanced Photoshop work, and play few games.

Alebertodlh's Supercharged Cube seems interesting, so i'm planning to buy similar hardware.
I already ordered the power supply (picopsu 160XT + ACDC 192W).
The GA-Z87N-WIFI MB seems a good choice, same for the i5 4570S (the 4670S is little bit better, but unavailable for a good price in France).
I didn't choose the CPU cooler yet, i will wait to have all other stuffs, then check the available space.
For the GC, i'm thinking about buying the Gigabyte GV-N750TOC-2GI (the cooling system looks good).
The SSD will be a 850 EVO.
I don't need an optical drive.

Here is the Cube, just after buying it (looks like it's new
) :

I already got most of the hardware, but the motherboard is a newer Z97N-Wifi, insteed of the older Z87.

I'm now waiting for a 840 Pro SSD, and still need to choose the CPU cooler.
I should check the size, but Noctua just released one that looks very promising :

I'm actually in the middle of my 2nd Cube Hackintosh Build with similar goals.

I'm using:

ASUS H87I-PLUS Mini-ITX
Intel i7 4790S 60W TDP
Cooled Via Noctua NH-L9i
GTX 750 Ti
DVD-RW
2x 1TB SSD's
Internal Apple IR Receiver

All while trying to keep it quiet....

I know that struggle :p

I wanted to use it with my TV (as a multimedia computer), so i ordered an IR power switch from simerec.com :

I placed the IR recever on top of the Cube :

It's well hidden under the grid :

Now i can start the Cube and the TV with the power button of the TV remote :
