Fuzzy / Pixelated Screen temporarily after sleep?

I'm trying to help my father with a small issue he is having with his machine. After the computer wakes from sleep his screen will be fuzzy/pixelated for around 12 seconds and then the screen suddenly goes back to normal. I've tried searching the forum to see if anyone has had a similar issue although I've only found people mentioning issues during login. Has anyone seen this before?

His system:
H77-DS3H
Xeon E3-1230 v2
Gigabyte GTX-1050 Ti
High Sierra 10.13.6
Clover 4630 from Multibeast 10.4

I should also add that we tried WhateverGreen (Core Graphics Fixup AKA WhateverGreen) although it didn't make a difference.
