Hi everyone,

I've recently installed Ventura on my hackintosh with the help of opencore 8.3.0.
I would like to add a HDD and to redo the installation using Fusion Drive.
I don't find any information about how good can OC handle Fusion Drives.
Do you know if OC 8.3 supports fusion drives ?
Many thanks

Louis

The question you should be asking is does macOS Ventura or Monterey support Fusion drives. Remember that Apple have moved from HFS+ to APFS in all the latest versions of macOS.

Can you create a Fusion Drive with APFS?

Or are you better served using a larger NVME drive formatted APFS. This would give you the storage space and the drive speed you would gain from using a Fusion Drive.

Hello,
Many thanks for your response.
Yes, I m almost sure Fusion drives are compatible with APFS and with Ventura.
I thinks apple will still support fusion drives for a few years as Fusion Drive were still in use on 2017 Macs.
I will try anyway and give you an update on how it went.
Best,

Louis
