  • X.M.P. - Profile1
  • Fast Boot - Disabled
  • CSM Support - Enabled
    • Other OS
    • Storage Boot Options - UEFI
    • Other PCI Devices - UEFI
  • Super IO Configuration:
    • Serial - Disabled
    • Parallel - Disabled
  • USB Configuration:
    • XHCI Hand-off - Enabled
  • Sata Mode - Intel RST Premium with Intel Optane System Acceleration
  • VT-d - Disabled
  • Internal Graphics - Disabled

Notes:
  • Installation must be completed in ACHI mode
  • Current setup supports the use of Intel Optane for Windows drives only
    • Intel Optane is not available for MacOS systems
  • Full Graphics Acceleration is available by utilizing nVidia web drivers and CUDA
    • Dual monitor black screen problems have been resolved
  • Sound has been fixed using Voodoo HDA 2.9.0.
    • Currently working on native fix for ALC1220 chipset, but this is proving difficult
  • Fully functional handoff and continuity using native support
  • Not all kexts provided are needed for this build
    • Use what is necessary
    • Please download from and support the creators of each kext

Why do you boot the HS installer with Optane connected to the motherboard?

Im try to install HS and when detected de Optane memory, the installer reboot the computer.

When i try to boot installer with -v, i got a NVME error IONVMEFamily.

Kexts are listed above. Namely I use these kexts for support with Optane:
  • SATA-200-series-unsupported.kext
  • SATA-RAID-unsupported.kext
  • XHCI-200-series-injector.kext
But you will need to make adjustments based on your motherboard series. Make sure you uninstall optane correctly and not simply remove it from the motherboard.

My idea is:

  1. Quit the Optane drive from de mobo
  2. Install High Sierra
  3. Install kexts
  4. Install Optane drive to Mobo
  5. Activate RST
  6. Install Windows 10 for dual boot
  7. Change between RST/AHCI depend of the Os to boot.

Are correct this?

Where did you get those kext for Optane ? i.e.

  • SATA-200-series-unsupported.kext
  • SATA-RAID-unsupported.kext
  • XHCI-200-series-injector.kext
