I have a 10.8.5 system working on Chimera 2.2.0 r2248. It's solid but I want to do a fresh install of the 10.8.5 so I can have a fresh system without the accumulated clutter, while retaining the bootloader/drivers/etc. What would be the best way to do this?

    • Yes I know it's an old OS but I have some software compatibility issues with anything beyond it, and it's an isolated system so I'd like to keep it this way :D
    • Please bear with me, it's been a while since I installed this, so I might not remember all of the details of the install.
    • I have multiple spare drives and other Mac systems at my disposal
    • Not too keen on moving to clover. I tinkered with it for a while but it wouldn't load the 10.8 installer.
    • Thanks in advance for your help!
