PLEASE DISREGARD THE BUILD IN MY PROFILE TO THE LEFT - THAT'S A DIFFERENT HACKINTOSH!
I've been playing with this older PC that I've resuscitated to a Hackintosh.
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-EP45-UD3P
Video card: PNY Nvidia GeForce GT610 (also tried an older PNY GeForce 8500GT DDR2)
CPU: Q8400 Core 2 Quad at 2.66
It's running El Capitan and seems to be working just fine, with the one exception that when I shut down the machine, everything freezes. The mouse stops moving, the computer is entirely unresponsive, and it stays on forever, never actually shutting down.
I thought it might be the graphics card, so I replaced it with the GT610, which is a better graphics card than the much older 8500GT, but this didn't change.
Any suggestions on things to try to get it to stop freezing when I hit shut down?
(Obviously, it's not a huge deal, however, I do like being able to VNC into the machine and shut it down, and right now, it won't shut down -- it just stays on, frozen.)
