same issue here. Hack worked 4.0 for a full week, then after installing a single option - USB 3.0 Third Party--the thing stops at the grey screen on boot. Any ideas folks?

Fixed it!

Found out the USB 3.0 - third party kext doesn't work with 1155 motherboards.

I loaded the boot disk, went to the disk utility, and figured out how to navigate with the terminal to the system/library/extensions folder where the kexts were installed.

I referred to multibeast on another mac to see which kexts were installed, and where. Then, using terminal commands, I deleted the kexts. System booted up find after that!
