formating SSD quick question

Hello I have a quick question, I am taking the SSD out of my macbook pro to stick in my hackintosh that I am about to build right now and was wondering so I need to format the drive before I stick in my hackintosh or can I simply reformat the drive once I install it in the hack and once I use the unibeast and install mavricks it will format the drive anyway?
