Flashing white and black screen after Apple Logo

I made a usb installer in a vmware machine and I was able to get it running and fully installed. I was actually quite excited because of all of the work I had to do to get it installed. Anyways, I was booting it from the flash drive into the lion partition because there is no bootloader yet and it seems to finish the processes(checked in verbose too) and it goes to a flashing black and white screen. I think it could be the graphics card, but considering I am new to all of this, I don't know how to fix it. I have a geforce 9400gt. Any help at all would be appreciated. I'll get a video up in a bit to show the problem as well.

Sorry about the jitter. I am running an experimental rom on my phone and it is screwy sometimes. I am also new to the forum layout and i couldn't get an embed to work.

First thing I'd try is graphicsenabler=no.
