I am having a weird issue that I can't seem to find a solution for. When I perform a disk eject on my flash drive, whether it is in a USB 3.0 or 2.0 port, my system no longer recognizes any other devices in that port until I restart the system. I have also noticed that if I try to plug the drive back into the port the system begins to move much slower than normal and also takes a while to shut down. I never had any problems with it in Lion. Not sure if it started after updating to 10.8.1. Only articles I have seen about USB issues are related to putting the system to sleep. I am not putting the system to sleep as I have been unable to get it to wake from sleep properly, but that is another issue. Any help is greatly appreciated.
