Hi all,
I have the following question regarding the steps laid out in the boot0 error guide. I boot into Snow Leopard using iBoot, and it comes up perfectly running 10.6.8. At this point I put in the Snow Leopard DVD but I'm wondering if I have to reboot the system again to get into installer mode or if there is something I need to do on the DVD itself.
When I put in the OSX DVD, do I re-start the install process and stop at a specific screen in order to access the utilities menu? I see a utilities button on the screen when I click on the 'install mac osx' icon but it tells me to reboot in order to access the utilities menu. If I reboot, the system doesn't read the OSX installer DVD, and I'm back to the boot0 error.
I don't want to wipe out my drive all over again so I would appreciate it if someone can clarify the steps needed to get into installer mode after booting the system using iboot so I can fix the boot0 issue.
Another question I have is based on my system specs. How far can I go in terms of future os upgrades?
And one more question: where do I go to get software to enable sound, networking, etc? I did not see any options to install them when I ran MultiBeast.
My first hackintosh system is the following: dell optiplex 780, 8 gigs of ram, 1 terabyte hd, 3.33ghz intel core 2 duo.
Thanks in advance for any help.
