Here is a fresh kext that enables all broadcom AND MOST ATHEROS WIFI cards under lion, tested in 10.7.0./1/2
http://www.mediafire.com/?t255fwtajygjdof

install to /system/library/extensions and repair permisions with multibeast
or alternatively extract to ur desktop (make sure it is the only kext on your desktop ) and install with kextbeast, restart and enjoy, also compatible with all snow leopard builds from 10.6+

Lots of broadcom cards supported, not able to test with all.... obviously but stil give it a shot
also works in 64bit native and 32bit

once you restart , login, go to sytem preferences, network , wifi and join your desired network...
Enjoy fallow Mactoppers :)

Do you have any idea if this will make an Atheros AR9285 connect to 802.11n networks properly? At the moment it connects to 802.11b/g fine but fails with n netorks.

Edit: Just incase somebody else is wondering the same thing, no, this doesn't work with an Atheros AR9285 (at all, not just for N networks).

I have a Broadcom:
14e4:4357
but doesn't appears in any Info.plist, so, is it supported?
That Broadcom is a: BCM43225 802.11 b/g/n
Do you know that if any way to make that it works? I'm under lion 10.7.3

Not working for bcm 4313 under lion 10.7.3

Boo!!

thought we had a winner for a moment there.

I'm willing to bet the 4313 chipset will never get support /sad face.

bcm4306?
14e4:4320

worked fine in 10.6.8 w/ kernel option: max_valid_dma_addr=1024
upgraded to lion, but did not work with 10.7.4

i'm functional again with this kext, and max_valid_dma_addr=1024,
however, the big problem is that it will not sleep with this kext.
If i roll back to the stock next, or turn airport/wifi off, it will sleep and wake ok. I did not have this issue with 10.6.8 :(

Any clues as to why?

ok, was able to get sleep working, although via a hacky way.
since sleep will work when wifi is turned off, i am using sleepwatcher to disable/enable wifi interface upon sleep/wake.. seems to be working ok..

warning, for intermediate/advanced users:
you can find sleepwatcher here: http://www.bernhard-baehr.de/
got the idea from: http://www.leancrew.com/all-this/2011/1 ... -benjamin/

read and follow readme and man pages.

was able to use this to test:
/usr/local/sbin/sleepwatcher --verbose --sleep "networksetup -setairportpower en1 off" --wakeup "networksetup -setairportpower en1 on"

and finally used this plist in ~/Library/LaunchAgents/de.bernhard-baehr.sleepwatcher-20compatibility-localuser.plist

Code:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<!DOCTYPE plist PUBLIC "-//Apple//DTD PLIST 1.0//EN" "http://www.apple.com/DTDs/PropertyList-1.0.dtd">
<plist version="1.0">
<dict>
	<key>Label</key>
	<string>de.bernhard-baehr.sleepwatcher</string>
	<key>ProgramArguments</key>
	<array>
 <string>/usr/local/sbin/sleepwatcher</string>
 <string>-V</string>
 <string>-s "networksetup -setairportpower en1 off"</string>
 <string>-w "networksetup -setairportpower en1 on"</string>
	</array>
	<key>RunAtLoad</key>
	<false/>
	<key>KeepAlive</key>
	<true/>
</dict>
</plist>

hey - a mac has got to sleep, man!
