Fix HDMI port for MSI R6850 Cyclone 1GD5 Power Edition/OC

I have modified the AMD6000Controller.kext for 10.10.2 but for some or other reason it won't load.

I have used kext-dev-mode = 1, slide = 0 but Yosemite refuses to load it.
Something about dependancies and not signed etc.

Any thoughts and help will be appreciated.

The original kext loads with full QE/CI but no HDMI and only single monitor.
Just for interest, running with Clover now.

On Mavericks with your modified 6000 kext perfectly.
HDMI Picture and sound on a TV and one Monitor = 100%

Unfortunately for HDMI to work I have to start up with TV plugged in.

Unplugging HDMI cable immediately defaults to the other monitor and both monitors work.

As a matter of fact better than it did with Chameleon.
Yes, Clover has it's advantages for sure.

Got it working!

The trick was the following in Terminal: sudo nvram boot-args="kext-dev-mode=1"
AMD6000Controller kext loads now.
2 Monitors or 1 Monitor and HDMI TV connection with display and sound.

Although I had it set in Clover as a boot argument it did not work.
That is with Clover Bootloader r3113, in other words the problem is Clover witch I will convey to them to look into.
They might have fixed it already, I see r3152 is out.

There is one problem though.
With 2 Monitors mouse movement is constant as it should be.
With 1 Monitor and HDMI TV, the mouse curser has a tendency to stop for a second after about 4 seconds movement and the continues for another 4 and repeat itself.
Does not cause problems but is irritating and not what it's suppose to do.

Any thoughts on that?
I'm attaching my kext for your perusal, maybe you can fix it?
For some or another reason kext is greyed out and I can't upload it.?

Regards

Thanks for your reply.
As soon as you have modded yours, would you mind posting it so I can see if yours fixes that problem?

Just some information on the Clover Bootloader.

It is now possible to do patching on the fly, no more patching your kext as we did before.

I am currently running Yosemite with vanilla AMD6000Controller kext.
All ports functional, QE/CI etc.

So this means no need to patch again after next update or any future updates, unless something changes drastically.

danip, it's been awhile.

Hope you get an headsup on this.

I need help with MSI R6850 on Sierra 10.12, it seems as if something have changed drastically.
The old method does not seem to work anymore.

Any help will be appreciated.

Regards

Ok, figured it out!
Working perfectly in Sierra 10.12.1
