First off let me explain the needs for the system I'm trying to build is, I want to have it as primarily a mac computer where I can do a of my music and video production, but also to be able to boot into Windows for some rather good gaming, I have never built a computer myself before all though u have watched a bunch of videos of it being done over the years and I'm rather tech savvy, I have put together a part list I put together just based on my own research and I'll post it below any help with part picking and maybe advice for the whole process would be much appreciate as my imac of 2013 just crashed on me and I have to get my studio back up and running asap, my budget will be between 1700-2700 dollars are the parts I have in my list all Mac compatible and are there any different approaches I maybe should take or do I just have a bad part list all together?

A 4930K will not work with either of your two motherboard choices. Take a look at one
of the I7-3770K cpus to pair with one of those. Why is it that you want an Ivy Bridge
system instead of a newer Haswell ?

Thank you for the reply, and I'm relatively new to this custom build thing I've always wanted to do it myself and I figured since my computer crashed nows the time to take advantage of that expandability, my reasoning behind choosing those two mother boards is because I have to have the use of thunderbolt on the Mac side for my apollo interfaces I use for recording music, and those where the only two mbos I could find that have thunderbolt support, I'm trying to have dual boot machine with Windows and Mac and I want good gaming on the windows side I was going to go with two EVGA GeForce gtx 760s in SLI, is there any advice you may have in cutting cost and not performance and or maybe a whole different approach that I should be looking at?

And you are right about the processor I didn't understand that at first now I'm looking at the Intel Core i7-4790K Devil’s Canyon Quad-Core 4.0GHz 1150 4790K Desktop Processor Intel HD Graphics
