First Skylake build, 1200 euro, age: 15

Hello Community of Tonymacx86 ,

I'm 15 years old and want to make a powerfull machine that can handel, video editing, school work and gaming. So my question is, Is this a good build?

Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-Z170X-Gaming 5
cpu: Core i7-6700K
gpu: Evga GeForce GTX 950 - Superclocked + ACX 2.0 -2GB GDDR5
ram: HyperX Fury - DDr4-2666 16 GB
Ssd: Samsung850 EVO 250GB (Split it up for windows and OS X)
Hdd: 1TB harddrive
Case: h440 new edition (red)
power supply: Corsair RM650x - 650W
cpu cooler: Cool master 212 Evo

Total cost: 1205,40

And how does the 950 work with final cut pro x?

I only have one 950. I don't use FCPX, but from what I've read in the Graphics and Video forums, AMD cards work better. But, AMD cards have sleep issues, so fip the coin.

BTW, the GTX 950 is the entry level for your gaming requirement. The 970s and 980 are the typical gamers cards.

@anbuuu Think i Will step down from a core i7 to the i5 and buy a 970 instead! Thank you for the advise! (and the ram I stepped down as well!)

Or do you think it's worth to collect some more money and then buy the 970?
