hahaha - just tried to reboot and guess what now getting pages error after doing nothing.

Ok so i have to say close to throwing in the towel here

tried all usb ports
tried most of the guides
tried multiple USB sticks

and you know the worst thing is that when tried all the ports in sequence then on two attempts the boot got further without any changes to switches

On this board z170 premium by Asus take top USB c as 1 then if you do that and work right and down then usb ports 4 and 7 worked once, well moved us forwards.

7 did the best but failed with ATHR :21

Tried to boot again not touched anything and then it didnt work at all - just paging errors

Please could someone help me - really would be appreciated.
Are you booting with nv_disable=1 with card installed?
Try checking FixOwnership in Devices/USB in clover configurator.

Now trying with vanilla config.plist from skylake guide

All ports will boot - all ports fail with the same pages error.

port 1 USB - Fail
Port 2 USB - Fail
Port 3 USB - Fail Port 4 USB - Fail
Port 5 USB - Fail Port 6 USB - Fail

Front port 1 - Fail
Front port 2 - Fail with pages again this time - Kernel cache (0x9)
Front port 3 - Fail

So all failed

Now trying with 1 stick of RAM.

No I havent been - I will do that now.

I would check what Clover version you're booting with. Look on the EFI partition of your USB drive at EFI/Clover_Install_Log.txt and see what "Installer version" it says in the first few lines.

Also, if you want all your USB ports to work as expected, you should apply at least the initial USB fix from the Skylake Starter Guide. That might help distinguish between the USB port/drive combo not working and any other issue.

Hello ammulder - thanks for that. I will do that with Clover and yep it would be good to get some clarity - today hasn't been a write off, I have learnt a lot and think that with a few helpful hints I will get there but relaxing now. Well for tonight :)

Hello

Tonight i started with a new USB key without any of previous days messing around.

Question How can i capture the logs without taking pics?

I created it on a MAC PRO (dont know if that makes a difference) I then applied the USB fix in the skylake guide.

Clover versions v2.3k r3320

Note: attached config.plist

I added kexttopatch now looks like this

<key>KextsToPatch</key>
<array>
<dict>
<key>Comment</key>
<string>External icons patch</string>
<key>Find</key>
<data>
