Hi All,

Came across this forum and finally selected the hardware to run High Sierra for editing purpose.
Is the Spec below capable to run High Sierra ?

Motherboard - Z370 Aorus Gaming 5
CPU - Core I7-8700
Graphic Card - GTX1050TI G1 Gaming
RAM - Klevv Bolt Series 8GB DDR4 3000Mhz
SSD - Samsung 960 EVO 250GB
1TB - Caviar Blue
Power Supply - EVGA Super Nova 650GB Gold Rank

Is the Motherboard build in WiFi will works well ?
Is this spec overkill to run FCPX and Adobe ?

Thanks guys

Hi. Here are my thoughts. You don't need an overclock z mobo if you are running a non-overclockable chip. You could save some money there. If you are planning on using FCPX mostly then I'd get an AMD GPU like an RX 570. If you are running Adobe primarily you are better off with the Nvidia card. You will need way more storage for video editing. 4gig spinny drives are inexpensive. Go for that. RAM might be a bit thin. I'd go 16 gig if you can afford it. Everything else is cool. And whatever board you get make sure it has the IO that you need.

For Coffee Lake only Z370 motherboards are available. Lower end chipsets compatible with Coffee Lake CPUs has not been released by Intel at this time.
