First build help, Not able to reach the installer (Apple logo freeze)

Hi guys, Im new to the hackintosh world,

Just attempted my first installation but as the title of this post states I can't reach the installer

I have tried the flags; GraphicsEnabler=No, -v , -x, npci=0x3000, PCIRootUID=0, maxmem=4096, nv_disable=1
and
-no-zp

Nothing has worked sofar

Am I overlooking something?

Did you use UniBeast to make the USB Installation Thumb Drive? From where did you download Mavericks?

I downloaded the Mavericks installer from the apple appstore, and built the USB installation drive with Unibeast 5

Is there any reason why you're using Mavericks instead of Sierra? I'm trying to recall if Mavericks will work on the current motherboards/processors.

Yeah indeed there is a reason, most of the Audio software I use does not support Sierra yet

I had a suspicion that was the reason. OK. Have you check to see if anyone in the Mavericks Desktop Support forum section has tried to install Mavericks on a Z170 system?

You would need to go back one or two Generations to a 8 or 9 Series Haswell system to be able to run Mavericks. You could install El Cap if that would meet your requirements for your software.

Thanks Stork, I went through the list you posted and indeed there is no-one with a z170 system running Mavericks on it...

Thanks for the Info TRS96, will have to let go of some plugins and embrace El Capitan!
will make a new USB installer now
